As a child and now as an adult I have always questioned the unrealistic Religious Stories, which created a strong urge to know the truth, as I knew within that there is a symbolic meaning in it, I just could not get it.
Practicing Spirituality slowly reveals the mysteries of life. (According to my Guru-Acharya Shree Yogeesh). I did not understand at first, what exactly the mysteries he is talking about. But on my path, I have realized many aspects of truth, and realized those mysteries of life. Will share many in future. But this one I want to share as it relates to the current situation. Today after a night of Vaccination, even before that I had a feeling that I am going to get a new insight of life. What was coming, I was not sure? Today I realized during my Morning Yoga practice, the symbolic meaning of Shiva’s Poison Drink. What exactly the mystery reveals might be or might not be different from Religious interpretation or stories. But this is for those who were never been able to digest unrealistic religious stories, like me. What my realization today was: Whenever the enemy or the poison or the threat to humanity comes, what we should do? How can humanity fight against it? Shiva Taught this technique ages ago and it is still alive with his symbolic version. Unfortunately, people misinterpreted this with a sadness, and the quote gave a kind of negative impact or feeling of because the meaning is not been understood fully. Two things came up: Face It or take it inside of our bodies with intention to fight it out. If in case none of them is done, nature has that power to strike this on you today or later. First method is to face it/take is inside our body which is intentional and the body releases the substances which makes body ready to fight against this Virus (in today’s situation), infection or diseases, whatever you say. I will mention Virus as we are fighting against it now. The next one happens through nature, which is out of natures compassion towards humanity. Nature have always helped humans to survive through the odds even after lots of destruction, damages and mistakes done by human. It is way forgiving that we might have even imagined. Nature will hit you in full capacity with that Virus, just to make you produce the substance to fight against this Virus. Now this is Accidental event. Body is not prepared for this. Which might be little harder on the body, causing deaths and devastating effect but Human has the capacity and power to fight this way too. This is how we - Humans have evolved, survived and lived since centuries and eras, I would rather say since infinity. Results from both are the same: Human Survival. This is how we survived. So now let me put this in more literal meaning. So may be in olden days, when the science was not as developed, it might be possible that people survived with the combination of first and second mind set. People might have been naturally hit by the virus or they just faced it with strong intention to fight against it. Now due to scientific development, our brains were able to make this Poison - in the form of Vaccine. Yes. That is Poison. But this is our weapon now. This is now a strong fight given by Humans to such one sense organism who is here, and can just survive in Human body, ie the intention of such organism is just to kill and have devastating affect on Humanity. But now is the time to fight against as we have realized our weapons. Our weapon here is not the vaccine, it is our own strength and power. Our own believes that together we can do that, does not matter if we have taken the vaccine or not. Let's just face it with power this time. There is not just that, when we realize and go deeper there is much more happening during this process. If you have seen a picture of Shiva drinking poison, His throat portion turns out to be light blue. Now this blue colour is the throat Chakra colour. It is called Vishuddhi (Means Purification in Sanskrit) Chakra also for some reason. If this chakra is Active and balance only then the process of Purification can happen. For now I will just stop at this, hard to digest such bitter truth, like a bitter pills, but it helps at the end. (Not all of them though, lol) Shailja Do not limit yourself with particular recipe or guidelines for vegetarian cooking. Let’s take a multifaceted approach. Now that you have taken a step towards vegetarianism, the big challenge for you is to sustain yourself with your decision, for life. Do I know what and how to cook vegetarian food that would satisfy my taste buds? Will that at the same time nourish my body? Answer is simple, being vegetarian will start detoxification process in your body slowly. Not only you but everyone around you will notice change in you. While understanding the wisdom of vegetarian cooking, it gives a kick to your creativity within no time and you will start making more and more delicious recipes you might have never even seen in the restaurants. Myths about Vegetarian Cooking 1) There are not much options available in the restaurants when you dine out. Options are now available in most of the restaurants just we need to change our vision. Be firm and be proud on your decision, no matter what people have to say about being vegetarian. You have now chosen to save animals, remain healthy and improve your current health condition by only eating food that does not make you sick and feel bulky. Tip: Change your vision and realize how important it is to eat right. You will automatically disregard meat to be the part of your diet. You can always ask to create your own Sandwich, Salad, Pasta, Pizza, Curry, almost everything with the substitute using tofu, falafel, cottage cheese(Paneer), Soyabean, Chickpeas and many more, nourishing your body and much better way than ever before. 2) Not many recipes are available or I know to cook. Be creative with your own recipes. You can not be creative enough if you lack the wisdom for the art. Through Yoga, Breathing Techniques (Pranayama) and Meditation you can achieve this wisdom and energy. Before looking into any books, videos or recipe guides, you need to first discover you own abilities to develop this art of cooking. Once you have done that everyday cooking will not be hassle anymore but will convert into your passion. You would then realize the endless possibilities of making vegetarian food. Every time you make food with help of this wisdom and experience you will always cook like “A Chef” and those who are eating your food will not stop praising you as it is made up of pure love gained from this inner wisdom. 3) It is too much work to cook vegetarian food. Thats absolutely a Myth. Vegetarian food takes way less time to be cooked than meat. And thus it takes way less time and energy from your body to get digested than meat. Vegetarian food takes 3-6 hours to get digested and meat takes 24 hours and sometimes more. While doing your groceries, now look around in the produce section, there are tons of vegetables available. Not only vegetables, look for grains and beans like different lentils, flavourful basmati rice, different flours, spices and nuts. Always keep these basic ingredients available in your kitchen at all times, so that whenever you think of a good recipe you don’t have to go out and buy them. Learn how to cut and cook these vegetables. Learn what can be served with that veggie, how to make home made breads without yeast, without baking or much ingredients. When the work becomes a Passion it is no more a work, its love and pure energy that you are putting into your art of cooking. Clarity is required for any work you do. Wherever there is confusion the chances of loosing the track is more. Clarity through your own wisdom is only gained through trust, experience and self realization. But how to build up this trust, confidence and strength within? Through Yoga and Meditation. There are techniques to activate your third eye “Ajna” Chakra for the inner wisdom. All cuisines can be easily made using vegetarian ingredients only. Also try to cook using seasonal fruits and vegetables. Know the basic properties of some spices which you can use according to the season. Some basic ingredients that you should always keep for quick preparation eg: spice rack, varieties of beans, Whole wheat flour for your bread, lentils and rice. Do not limit your cooking skills to one particular cuisine or style. Be open and try to make other cuisines as well to satisfy your taste buds. Start increasing the kitchen inventory like soya flour, quinoa, cracked wheat, chick pea flour, beans, seeds etc which are a good nourisher for your body. Learn about fruits and vegetables that grow seasonal in your region. Learn about different herbs which you can add on to your dish eg corriander, chives, neem leaves, mint etc. Ayurvedic cooking style does not belong to only Indian Cuisine and is not for Medical use only, it is a Universal method to keep nourishing your body on daily basis without extra efforts. For example turmeric powder, ginger, garlic, mustard seeds, Methi seeds, cumin seeds and many more have healing effect. Turmeric and Ginger is extremely helpful for kids throat infection, cough and cold. Masala Tea with Ginger, Black Pepper, cloves and cinnamon help digestion. Corriander has a cooling effect and is best to use during summer. Mustard seeds has heating effect on the body and thus can be consumed in winters. The complete vegetarian diet gives a slow healing effect to the body. Weight loss becomes easier now. Digestion becomes better. You are now taking a big step towards non-violence. When Yoga and Meditation becomes your light, you may now use this light from within to create peace and bring happiness around you. By being vegetarian you are now saving thousands of animals in just one year. Your positive Aura is reflected wherever you go. Happy Cooking! Love Shailaja Depression is easy to come out from. It is difficult to treat this situation with the help of medicines, alternative therapies, any consultation until and unless, you do not see a light in this dark situation. All these treatment gives temporary solution. It give temporary relief but the situation still remains around your life, soul and mind. To put it in very simple form, it is merely a state of mind which was created my situation, rather than that simply a life crisis. Also who have no idea what is this state of mind, who have never been through this situation, who have never felt the pain, will never be able to help you come out of this. Most of us, just hide the situation, most of us have buried it and cover it since ages, divert themselves, neglecting the feelings. Many are able to do with medicine, drugs, drinking, in short using any external material to make them happier. But deep down you come back again now or later with the same kind of depression, this time reason can be different. Like you all, I have been in this darkness of Depression many times in my life but am so proud to share this while I have pulled out myself strong and blossoming life. Many times I am saying because usually people tend to bury those emotions, not show it to the world or just isolate themselves. And thus I did the same and this sate of mind came up to me again and again. I was able to come out of it. This was only possible when I started correcting myself, straightening my life by taking baby steps at a time. Always remember only those people can really help who have helped themselves first. Rest is all superficial. Rest I mean, all the outside help, therapies, diagnosis, etc. I knew any outsider therapies is not going to help me. I need someone or something stronger than my negative mind situation. Something way positive and strong then me. So just sharing little tips of wisdom, my technique to come into the light. Step 1: While you are in this mode, this sadness, confusion, you can hardly see through anything. No light what so ever. No way, direction or guidelines help. Until - you cry it all out first, you need to let it out, write it out, email or write a letter. But here be aware that you can not trust everyone. But you will find some help if you are deeply seeking. First step is to let it out in someway or other. Build trust on yourself first. Believe in yourself, that whatever you are doing for yourself or taking any step to get out of this situation is the right step to take. You need to more out and walk forward, that's should be your aim. Once you let it out, second step is: Then close your eyes, bring all focus into your heart area. Try to go as much deep as you can. Practice this, focusing on your heart area as much as possible. Now after some time, days, hours you will start listening to your heart’s voice. Before that your mind took over. Now you will start feeling lighter. Step 2: Practice Trataka. Practice ancient Lost Yogic Technique: Tratka (Click on the above link for YouTube Video for Step by Step details on how to Practice Tratka) This is a focusing technique. I am asking to do so as in this situation, mind will not let you focus on yourself at all. This is a practice to put your monkey mind on leash. And yes its the proven technique but is a lost yogic techniques not because it does not work, because there is no trust in within ourselves what so ever. Only trust in yourself will help you to trust others. This will help you to focus more on yourself rather than thoughts. Your thinking or thought process will diminish. Your inner strength will be awakened. Step 3: Above two steps will help you to correct your vision. Right Vision is the first and the foremost requirement to seek the right guidelines and help. Before that you have asked or have been seeking help from everywhere but you only have got temporary relief or answers, now you will be able to find solution. Be a Seeker. Seek the real guidelines, teacher or a master who can help you come out of not only Depression, but any kind of pain, darkness, confusion, etc. Seek the master who can make you the master one day. Some practical tools to help you gain some clarity:
"Depression itself is a negative feeling. What fuels this situation is the feeling of loneliness." - Shailaja Always remind yourself that you are your own healer. All the medications and alternative therapies will give you a temporary relief. This feeling will come back to you if you have NOT put your efforts to remove it from the roots. Tips to pull yourself out: 1) Pay full attention with your full inner strength to this situation. Ask yourself few questions - Why me? Do I deserve this? Why I am living such miserable life and everyone else seems so happy? When you stare at a thief, theif will tend to run away. Similarly when you give full attention to this, this feeling has to go once and for all. Negative things or people tend to escape, fall down or run away with your attention. 2) Focus then on your original nature, which is always positive, cheerful, strong and courageous. This is Humans' (Soul-I should say) basic nature, which has never been in limelight before. When you will start paying attention to these qualities of yours, it will enhance, increase and help you to come out of this downward feeling. I hope this blog has helped you in some way or other.
